Looking for Private Tours or Driver in Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm

Recommended Posts

We are on a 12 day cruise on the Jewel of the Seas May 27, 2005. We enjoyed the private tours from the Brillance 12 day Venice cruise last year and want to find a reputable company to contact for tours on our Scandinavia & Russia Cruise this summer.

In most of the ports, you can tour on your own. Several ports have on/off buses (do a Google search or search on the CC Baltics board). In many ports, the ship docks close enough to walk to the major sights or you might want to use the ship's shuttle or hire a cab available at the pier to take you to the main tourist area. To see remote sights, such as the Vasa Museum, a half-day tour from the ship is also a possibility. You can then get off in town after the tour to see the other sights. If you purchase Rick Steves Scandanavia 2005, you can find suggested walking tours for each of the ports. St Petersburg is the only place you will need a private guide and the two top ones seem to be Red October and Denrus. We're on the July 2 cruise. I'll look forward to your post when you get back.
