Toto2Kansas Posted January 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2011 The best idea when traveling with a child, or someone that would not do well in an upper bunk would be to book a mini suite. A mini provides a sofa bed for the third passenger, so no climbing is necessary. As for a rollaway being brought in, they do have a very limited amount of these and you can make a request for one. Whether they will be able to supply one will depend on the demand. But I must tell you that in a balcony cabin, there is very little extra floor space and it will make your stateroom almost wall to wall beds. Also, access to the balcony will be difficult in the AM with a rollaway, as it must go directly in front of the sliding balcony door (it is the only space it will fit). If all else fails, you could always have one of the adults sleep in the upper, and the third passenger sleep in one of the lowers. Best of Luck! Why not set your kiddo up with a floor bed in the closet area? This will leave the floor area a little more open and you won't have to worry about a tumble or knocking yourself out on the bunk when it's lowered.
