We would like to do some shopping in Cozumel but not at the shops when you get off the cruise ship. Looking for more local shops. Do you need to take a taxi or is it an easy walk from where you get of the cruise ships. Everyone says to walk down the waterfront but last time we did that you were not able to get to the back/pedestrian only streets from the shops at the cruise terminal. Someone draw me a map! LOL

How is your Spanish speaking? Grab a cab and tell the driver you want to go to El Zocalo (town square), and there are lots of local shops there and back a couple blocks. You can also ask to be taken to the Mercado, where there is quite a lot to see. :)

Take a cab to the very end of the main street and go to Los Cinco Soles. Lots of local stuff. Then you can walk back up to the towards the ship shopping along the way. You'll come to the town square and more shopping. Take a taxi back to the ship, cause you've have full day of shopping. Nancy
