Cabs with Infant?

Hi all,

 

We will be traveling with our daughter who will be 8.5 months at the time. Has anyone done this? Or know the rules regarding car seats, etc.? Thanks in advance!

When we asked for a special seat, nobody seemed to know what we were talking about. The driver did not even use the seatbelt and the backseats did not have any. So we just told him we would tip him if he drives slow;)

In forty plus years of go to Mexico I have never seen a car seat in any public transportation and very few in private vehicles.

LoL, great to know. We'll bring one of those Baby Bjorn things so I guess that will act as her seatbelt to us. I asked the same question to a tour guide in Panama and he said there are not laws. Great lol. Makes me nervous but I guess we'll do what we have to do. Thanks for the info!
