Excursion in Nassau

Does the beach excursion to Atlantis really fill up? We wanted to wait till we got on the ship to determine if we wanted to stay on board or go to Atlantis for the day. We will be on a 3 night cruise and we already get a beach day at Castaway. Suggestions? Stay on the ship or go to the beach???

I'm not sure about the excursion but I have been to Atlantis twice just to stay at the hotel. Depending what time you go we went in

Sept and January both times the beaches were practically empty. Atlantis is so big you don't really have to worry.

From the DCL website it says that excursions fill up fast? That is what I was wondering? Do we really need to book in advance, or it that a pressure sales tactic?
