Has anyone ever cancelled a shore excursion

I just realized I could cancel the excursion I booked through carnival and get refunded. I plan to book privately instead.

Has anyone ever done this and did you have any problems getting a refund?

Be sure to check with each company on what their policy is. I checked with a couple in Nassau and they don't refund. Even if your ship is unable to port! We have missed ports in our cruises. I never book with someone unless they have a no port, no pay policy.

I've cancelled shore excursions with NCL and Carnival. One time on the ship, my husband.. caught a cold. He did not feel like diving. No problem with either line cancelling.

We booked through Carnival...we decided to just keep it the way it is. We paid double the price but at least if there is a problem we dont have to worry about our ship leaving without us. Thank you.

I didn't even have a good excuse except for my son changed his mind after we boarded the ship. I just went to the excursions desk and asked and they were very helpful!

I always ask, most they can say is no.....
