inga418 Posted March 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2011 I just realized I could cancel the excursion I booked through carnival and get refunded. I plan to book privately instead. Has anyone ever done this and did you have any problems getting a refund?

Has anyone ever done this and did you have any problems getting a refund? Be sure to check with each company on what their policy is. I checked with a couple in Nassau and they don't refund. Even if your ship is unable to port! We have missed ports in our cruises. I never book with someone unless they have a no port, no pay policy. nlt46 Posted March 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2011 I've cancelled shore excursions with NCL and Carnival. One time on the ship, my husband.. caught a cold. He did not feel like diving. No problem with either line cancelling. Nancy
inga418 Posted March 7, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted March 7, 2011 We booked through Carnival...we decided to just keep it the way it is. We paid double the price but at least if there is a problem we dont have to worry about our ship leaving without us. Thank you.
mdelorme Posted March 7, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2011 I didn't even have a good excuse except for my son changed his mind after we boarded the ship. I just went to the excursions desk and asked and they were very helpful! I always ask, most they can say is no.....
