Past Guest Fares

If you're booked under a past guest fare, and the price goes down, are you SOL? I thought I remember my PVP mentioning that if the price dropped I would get credit.. But from everything I've read on here it sounds like that is only for the Early Saver fares. Thanks!

If its before final payment date, you can get the price adjustment. If after final payment, sometimes you can get a cabin change (ie-Inside to a better inside or OV) depending on the drop.

I am booked under PS and our rate dropped $20.00 before final payment and I called it and they adjusted the rate immediatley.

I booked PS. Price went down right after cut off date $100 a person. They told me they could upgrade me, but no where to upgrade me.:mad:

I never price watched and I paid in full at time of booking. The other day after reading on here, I saw that our "past guest" booking had gone down and I called Carnival. I say our price has gone down, the Rep asked are you seeing a $370 difference? Well yes I am, she said I am going to credit you credit card for the difference. So I would call! The made my day! It doesn't hurt to try.

I was reading a thread that has a link to the Carnival Fare Checker which I can't seem to find on my own on the Carnival site. So I use that link and have been checking fares. I booked two cabins for our upcoming cruise, one under Past Guest rates (us) and another for family that we will be going with. They didn't have a senior rate when I booked their cabin but I just checked today and the rate has dropped! I called Carnival, they adjusted my booking for that cabin and we just saved $280 on that one cabin!! Unfortunately, no rate drop for us as Past Guests but I'm encouraged now and will continue to check!
