With Carnival it depends on how you booked. What rate did you use?

For most rates you can get your price reduced up until final payment. If you booked early saver then you can still get reductions (which I believe go on your onboard account) after final payment.

If you booked anything other than ES then just call carnival and get a refund as long as it not past you final payment date. If you booked ES there is a form to fill out and this can be done up to 3 days prior to sailing

On Carnival they only recognize and give a lower fare for 48 hours after you book if its not 'Early Saver'. With ES you get obc after final payment but you must notify them, they don't automaticly drop the price unless you notify them. And, make sure the lower price is for your cabin catagory.
