Doesn't seem to be too bad to me. I have purchased from Beach Camera before without problem (although it was through Amazon).

 

I paid $300 for my 8010 about 5 months ago, just before they announced the replacement 810.

 

While this is closeout pricing, its still a nice camera. About the only difference is that the 810 has GPS, which can be good or bad - bad because it can run your battery down quicker.
