ladeeesquire Posted September 21, 2011 #26 Share Posted September 21, 2011 haha! there will be plenty of room. We don't officially co-sleep. Dd (3.5 yrs old) usually spends about the first 10 mins in her own bed then crawls in with us. We're not little and we've always fit just fine. I think this is a non issue. Good luck! milton333 Posted September 21, 2011 #27 Share Posted September 21, 2011 I'm recently back from RCI's Freedom of the Seas, and the "queen" sized bed that was formed from two twins was very nearly king-sized. Maybe 3-4 inches shy? It was very close, and we did fine co-sleeping with our toddler, plenty of room. Also, there was really no gap between the mattresses. There was a bit of a line you could see at the foot of the bed, but no gap and no space for a child to become entrapped. You could not poke a finger into any gap or anything like that. Also fwiw, it was a very comfy bed. Not too firm. There was an egg-crate type mattress pad on it, too.
