Las Veranas Canoopy Tour

Suite 16

Recommended Posts

Several posters have mentioned how much they enjoyed the Las Veranas Canopy Tour, which we hope to do in Puerto Vallarta. We would be interested to know how to get there, and return. We have heard that there is a taxi ride of about 20 minutes, at $4 each, to a shuttle stop. Is the shuttle really an open truck? We heard it takes 30 minutes on the "shuttle" to reach Las Veranas. Was it difficult to arrange to return to the ship? Thanks for any information!

Allow almost 30 mins. to get from the ship to Los Veranos' office. You'll need to get a yellow taxi (about $4pp) or a white van (about$20) at the pier. The shuttle IS open, a little rough, very scenic. If you book via the internet, Los Veranos' Sylvie will e-mail you all the information you need. They're entirely trustworthy and very helpful. Have a great zip!

We did the Los Veranos canopy tour last October. It was the highlight of our cruise. They are a good company and they'll treat you right. We took a yellow taxi to the Los Veranos office on the South end of town ( by the pemex station). There were only two of us, cost 6 dollars. From there they take you to the site. I have seen pictures of the open air bus, but when we were there they took us in regular vans. When it was time to come home, we had to wait for a group to go. They apologized all over the place for making us wait about 15 minutes. They were very helpful, friendly and did a great job. We loved it. We signed up on the internet, and Sylvie sent us an information sheet, which included very good instructions.

Have fun!

The canopy tour with Los Veranos was the BEST excursion ever! We LOVED it.

Take a cab to their offce. ($8 for all four of us there, $6 back) Yes, it was a 30 minute drive in an open air tour bus. Beautiful drive along the coast. Sit on the left for better views.

I am terrified of heights, but loved it! They staff is very professional and you will feel completely safe. it was awesome!

Plan to stay and swim if you have kids in your group. My 10 and 13 yo loved the water slides. DH and I loved watching them swin while enjoying a couple of Pacificos and nachos. We stayed for a couple of hours after our tour and thought it was the best day of our whole cruise.
