We'll be cruising to Freeport on the pride next June and we're looking for a beach. Nothing special, we just want to hang out on the beach, and enjoy the water.

Is there anything walking distance from the ship? If not what i the best way to get there?

Kinda way too early to be thinking about the beach eh? things could change drastically between now and then, how? im not sure but just saying... ha

I've been yelled at about my overplanning before. :o

I just found out that someone already booked the private oasis on half moon cay for my cruise so I'm trying to see what else I can nail down.

There is a large public beach just a little way beyond the British Colonial Hilton. It's not always in the best shape. Another option is to take the #10 bus to Cable Beach ($1.25 pp each way). I usually stop at the Diaquiry Shack (they make fresh fruit drinks right in front of you) then I go across the road and through the Casino to the beach and enjoy the day. I know many will say that you need a day pass, but I have never had any trouble using just the beach and the Tiki Bar takes cash from all that offer it as payment.

You will have to cab it to Lucaya for a beach. There is nothing within walking distance.

If the oasis is booked, could you not just book regular cabanas?
