RCL Playa Mia shore excursion

We are debating between Playa Mia and Chankanaab? Has anyone been to Playa Mia? How does this compare with chankanaab? BTW, in our party, we have 2 kids (6&7) and 2 seniors.

The only time we went to Playa Mia was on a Disney cruise in 05'. Me, my wife & 2 daughters. It rained the hardest I have every seen it rain in my life! The wifey & I still had a great time because all our drinks were paid for & they had a nice Mexican buffet.

Haven't been to Chankanaab.

When we go to Cozumel these days, we always go to Isla Passion Island. It's wonderful. Drinks are covered & the buffet is very good. Kids love it as well. Great family beach day!

We had a great time at Playa Mia last Saturday! I cannot compare it to Chankanaab since this was our first cruise but the food was good, the drinks were great and the rain held off until it was time for us to leave :D
