lritch426 Posted April 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Please stop me if you think I'm crazy for spending close to 600.00 for an excursion to Islands of Adventure ( 4 of us). I've look at all other avenues including our own transportaion, and getting our tickets (express pass) at the park. It's getting to be high season again at the theme parks and we know that we only have a few hours maybe 6 right? I've been to IOA before and do love it but I'm loosing sleep over the cost ! LOL! We aren't doing any other excursions, we want to relax the rest of the trip by doing nothing... (have a 2 year old and 4 year old staying home) nothing will be heaven

Kuppykat Posted April 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2004 I won't stop you. As far as I'm concerned it's the only way to go. Unless of course you enjoy standing online for aprox. one hour for each ride in the heat. I know it sounds like a lot of money now but by the time you return from your vacation you will only remember the fun you had not the money you spent. Enjoy yourself, Linda Oceanic 8/69 Olympia 9/71 NCL Dawn 3/04 "Happiness is a choice"
lritch426 Posted April 27, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Well thank you both Linda and Ninafromct for confusing me even further LOL BTW Ninafromct It is the express pass so no long lines, AND we've done it with the kids, we wanted to be able to venture on our own and actually go on adult rides together. hee hee [This message was edited by lritch426 on 04-27-04 at 09:55 AM.]
Kuppykat Posted April 27, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Sorry for confusing you but I still say "Go for it". You're on vacation, why frustrate yourself by spending your time at Islands of adventure standing online. We went to Universal studios and used the express pass (we are now spoiled) and I will never go again to one of those parks unless I have the extra money to purchase one. When we went the end of March the lines were aprox. a 45 minute wait and we just walked up to the express line and were the next ones on the ride. In 5 hours we saw everything and felt so relaxed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "You" can't have a good time without the express pass but I know I wouldn't have. My waiting in line days are over Either way you'll have fun.....Enjoy, Linda Oceanic 8/69 Olympia 9/71 NCL Dawn 3/04 "Happiness is a choice"
ninafromct Posted April 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2004 I have to agree with Linda. The last 2 times we went to Orlando we stayed at the Hard Rock while at Universal and used the FOTL pass. No lines, no waits. It made all the difference. We won't even go to WDW anymore because we have to wait in line and we won't do it. No tagline, on the grounds that it may incriminate me. lritch426 Posted April 30, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Kuppycat- When you went to Universal did you have to get a slip from the machine for a return time? Or is the express pass on the cruise like the ones the hotels where you just basically walk onto the ride?
