Communication on board

We will be sailing aboard the Crown on the 23 and was wondering if anybody had any ideas how to communicate with our party while on board. I already checked with the ship and they are telling me there are no walkie talkies or beepers for rental. Do cell phones work? I am mostly concerned because we are bringing our baby with us and other family members will be babysitting her so we want to always be in touch!

you can bring your owe walkie talkie,
Once at sea the cell phone don't work!
you can call the room, from another phone on board the ship. there phone around for use outside your cabin to call your room!
