boatlover Posted April 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2005 I just booked a July cruise on the Zuiderdam and was assigned a VB guarantee. I get that this means I will get at least a VB category cabin somewhere on the ship and probably won't find out until I get there what the cabin # is. How does this typically work out? Does it usually end up in a bad location? I have only cruised 3 times before and all 3 times I had my cabin assignment right away. If any of you have experience, my TA tells me its a common practice, please pass along your story. Thanks.
dakrewser Posted April 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2005 You'll be fine. You'll get nothing less than a VB, and quite possibly an AA or an A. VB's are fore and aft on the Upper Promenade and Verandah decks - very nice locations. Actual cabin assignment can be checked by filling out the immigration forms on the HAL web site. Check back from time to time ("edit" the form) until a cabin number shows up.
