The Crown Plaza Times Square or "W" Times Square?

We will be in New York for pre-cruise in December (3 nights), and would like to get some input on which hotel we should book (The "W" or Crown Plaza). The rates are fairly close in cost, and they are within a few blocks of one another (Times Square area). Just need some info from first hand experience with the two hotels. Thanks!

Do not hesitate to book the W. It is a great hotel.

Definitely W hotel. Really nice, great rooms(bedding is my favorite!)
