Kayaking in Belize

Hi

Brand new here, so please forgive me if this has been addressed before. We are cruising with Royal Caribbean in April (our first cruise ever!), and we are looking to set up some excursions that are unique to each of our ports of call. I am very interested in kayaking along one of the rivers in Belize alone or in combo with something like horseback riding, mayan ruins, or a zoo tour. My husband and I are both very keen on wildlife and birds and have experience both with kayaks and horses (and ruins for that matter), but I would love some reports from people who have experience with these sorts of excursions.
