Hotel(s) walking distance from Legend?

Will be going on the Legend this summer and doing my pre-planning.

 

I have made arrangements for pre-cruise, but will have time to kill

between disembarking and before our late afternoon flight home.

 

Is there a walking distance (with luggage) hotel near the ship or will

we be cabbing it somewhere?

 

Is there a primo spot to hang out for 3-5 hours? (Hate waiting in airports!)

The Marriott Waterside and the Embassy Suites are about 2 blocks from the port but they are long city blocks. It may be difficut to walk it with luggage. It would be a quick and inexpensive taxi ride though.

 

As far as a good place to hang-out to kill a few hours, I have heard that the Aquarium across the street from the port will hold your luggage while you take the tour. A flat rate taxi fare from the port back to TIA will cost you $25 for up to 4 passengers.

 

TIA really isn't that bad of an airport to kill a few hours either. We had a 2:30 flight and went over to Carrabbas and had long lunch and hung out for awhile before we went over to airside to catch our flight.

You can stow your luggage here and walk around the corner to the mall and watch a movie, get something to eat, shop, etc. That will kill a few hours.

 

As someone else mentioned, the aquarium is right across the street.

 

The place that stows luggage also has a shuttle service, or you can get a cab.
