Cruise Industry Adopts New Safety Policy

Having muster drills before sailing is something Cunard has always done. However, I don't think the outcome of the Concordia disaster would have been that much better had they done the muster drill. The problem was they were lying to passengers and telling them to return to their cabins. Of course the cause and end result of this accident was the unprofessional behavior of the Captain. In future, cruise lines had better be very careful about their hiring and screening practices.
