What time to get to port?

We will be cruising next week on the Carnival Freedom - What is the best time to arrive at the ship? We are staying at the sleep inn and have to sign up for a shuttle. We haven't cruised out of Ft. Lauderdale before so were not sure how early to arrive.

I would take the earliest shuttle over. You can usually be on board by 1100-1130, depending on how the debark went.

I am a definite early bird arriver! Plan to get to port at 10:30 and hang out until your zone is called. You should be on board by 11:30 latest:)

As early as you possibly can. Why wait to get your vacation started? We went on the Valor out of Miami last year and we got to port around 10:30 and didn't get on until noon. 10-10:30 seems to be the consensus of most people. When you are waiting you can do lots of people watching. But again why wait? Its your vacation, get the most for your money and get on the boat asap to start enjoying your drinks and lunch on the lido :)
