standardgirl Posted May 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2012 We would really like to do the chocolate tour on our own in Kona and have booked a rental car from Dollar at the King Kam location. The chocolate farm is about 15min drive from the pier and we need to check in for the tour at 8:50. Given that we're not in a suite, do you think we have a realistic chance here? From what I've read so far, it seems like if we get to the tender ticket line before 7am, we should be safe to get on an early enough tender. However, my concern is the time we might have to wait to get our car at King Kam Hotel. Does anyone have any experience with Dollar or Thrifty at King Kam? If we get to pier at 8am and go to the rental desk (opens at 8am according to their website), when can we realistically expect to be driving away with the car? Thanks a lot!
