Eagle reserve in Haines from Skagway

Ready 4 the next 1

Princess offers a number of tours to the Eagle Reserve near Haines from Skagway. Among the offerings are a tour that includes a speedboat that goes into remote inlets. They say a lot of wild animals can be seen and photographed along the shore. There is also a tour their where you go rafting. Another tour offers a trip to Kroschel films wildlife park which has a variety of animals that have been rescued in what may be more of a zoo-like setting. Has anyone been up there and what would you recommend?

I was also wondering if we were likely to see Bald Eagles mid to late June which is when we are doing our trip.

We have done the float trip twice w/ princess.

the second one was with grand daughter we enjoyed both.

The fast ferry ride to Haines is an excursion in it's self. The float trip is educational , slow and fun and expensive. You will see eagles and maybe other wildlife although summer is not when most eagles are there. For us seeing it through GD's eyes was worth every penny but there are other thing to do in Skagway that you might check out.
