Twister boat to Isla Pasion~only through cruiseline?

I was disappointed to find out that the twister boat is only available through the cruise lines now...for our party of 9, that comes to almost $900.00 on Carnival!! Will have to look at other options...any suggestions for 4 adults, 4 teen boys and a 10yo girl? We like Chankanaab but wonder if there is an area there with regular beach shore instead of having to go down stairs to go into the water.

So sad we also wanted to go on this excursion, but didn't want to pay the Carnival price.

There was only 2 of us and yes it was expensive. I would do it again but not with a family unless they are paying for them!!:D We did have a blast though!!

We were looking at that too, but not at Carnival pricing. They also did this on the Fury catamaran. Called Fury and was told we'd have to book thru the ship. :(
