I looked on the "what to do" on Carnival and there is a singles meet & greet. Is this any good or is it a meat market?

 

Its normally held in the disco the first night around 11:30-midnight. It would really depend on your fellow cruisers, I never felt like it was a meat market type environment, but I also cruise in the Fall and Winter of the year. During the spring and summer the ships take on a more lively nightlife experience.

So I would suggest going in and checking it out.
