Sofa Bed on Carnival Glory

Are the sofa beds uncomfortable on the Carnival Glory? Can you get an egg crate mattress to put on it?

Have a 22 year old son destined for the sofa bed!

We sailed on the Glory on 4/9 and though the beds and pillows were absolutely wonderful! My DH and I thought it was better than the bed and pillows we have a home. In my opinion, no egg crate needed plus who has the room in their luggage???
