LACruiserGuy Posted August 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Looking for input, comments, etc. regarding the new Aqua Class cabins added to Deck 11 on all the Celebrity Cruises' Millennium class ships. Especially curious about the overhang above the stateroom balconies on Deck 11. We are sailing on the Millennium to Alaska next week and wondering if there is enough cover from the overhang to still sit on the balcony on a rainy or misty day. blazeinthesun Posted August 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2012 I've written several brief reviews and responses regarding Deck 11 AQ and they are all quite favorable. Overall great location, pleasantly quiet up there, very nice rooms. We love those cabins, but admittedly, we really love the aft cabins on that deck (our personal preference!). As for overhang on the sides, very minimal. You would not be able to be out there in inclement weather. One reason we are not keen on the side cabins, the balconies are really fully exposed. But many others have no issues with that, so it's a matter of preference. The aft cabins, however, have more cover (varying degrees with location), but rain would probably still keep you away. Either way you go, they are fantastic ships post-refurb! Enjoy!
weejock Posted August 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2012 We were is cabin 1113 on Infinity in April. We found the new cabins very good, but they are a bit hard to get to at first. The balcony is good and there is approx 900mm (3') of cover above the balcony. It is OK for privacy, but limited shading. Would definitely book this area again
