past guest or VIFP rate

which rate is the best to book at the past guest rate or the VIFP rate does anyone know the differance the both seem to be the same price

Past Guest rates are only available to past guests.

 

VFIP rates are available to anyone who signs up for VFIP, which anyone can do even if they haven't cruised before.

 

The Rate may not tell the whole story, PG rates often include free upgrades.

VIFP and past guest rates are usually the same; however past guest rates usually include free upgrades (lower deck to higher deck, balcony to premium balcony, etc).

 

I would suggest booking at PG unless Early Saver is available & a lot cheaper.

What I have found is that you have to do "mock' bookings and see exactly what the bottom line price will be. Sometimes PG is better because of the upgrades. Remember when booking ES that the rate might be cheaper; but ultimately you could lose your deposit. You still get price drops with PG; but only until final payment is made. RISK, RISK, you just have to decide how you want to gamble.
