Hampton Inn at Six Flags New Orleans

Friends have reserved this hotel for our group for pre-cruise in June. Wanted someplace easily accessible to I-10 and not downtown. What kind of area is this? Mainly looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay for one night before driving to the pier.

You should be just fine there. The Six Flags area is about a 45 mile drive to the port.

The trip to the terminal is about 15 miles and during weekday trafic would be about 45 minutes but if you are leaving on a weekend it wouild take about 20 minutes.

Thank you for the replys. I was a little confused by the 45 mile thing, because mapquest had shown about 14.5 miles, but I get the 45 minutes. Thanks again for the help.

Oh Vanza, I'm SO sorry. I meant to say MINUTES, not miles. :rolleyes: And, I should have also added that weekends would be faster moving traffic. I've driven past there several times headed to N.O., and it can be done in about 20 minutes. EVERYTHING around N.O. depends on traffic at any given time!:D Enjoy your cruise.
