My fiancé and I are getting married on May 5th on the carnival sensation. I am looking for any advice from previous brides that have been on the sensation! I have ordered the MC, so I would like information if any previous brides have experienced that too! Also, I'd love to see pictures!

I haven't had the actual wedding yet, but I'm getting married on 2/28 on the Sensation. I've done my walk through, but I've been lazy and not gotten the pictures off my camera yet. I'll try and get that done ASAP! My fiance and I have the DJ so I won't be able to help you out as far as the MC is concerned. We've requested the Fantasia Lounge for the ceremony, and we'll have the disco for the reception since we booked the DJ. Overall the ship was nice. I liked that it was a smaller boat because I feel it'll be easier to see my guests throughout the ship for the cruise. The staff was really nice and extremely helpful. We have around 65 guests so that limits the rooms we can have our events in. What about you guys?

I've never been to a wedding on the Sensation but I sailed on her a few years ago. I loved this ship, it was my first one. If I can find any of my pictures I will send them your way! I just remember the staircase I thought it was gorgeous! Congrats and good luck in your planning!!

Thank you for the link! I'll take a look at that now.

We will have around the same amount of guests in our wedding also, so will we be limited to the same lounge? Also, how did you arrange a walk through?? I am only about an hour away from the port, so it is definitely something I would be interested in doing as well!

Thanks again for your guys' help!

They told me because of my size, it would probably be either the Fantasia Lounge or the Plaza Lounge. The wedding that was happening when I took my walk through was only 20 people and they were in the Michaelangelo Lounge. It was a much smaller venue. I too am also about an hour away (Orlando!), so I just emailed my coordinator and asked if there were any weddings on board on a Sunday that were between that date and my wedding. She provided me two dates. My fiance and I chose the one we wanted, gave them our license and birthdays, and we were set! They send you a document that you bring with you the day of the walk through. It was nice to get to see pretty much exactly what our non-sailing guests will do.

Hey! I found this link from another poster that was looking at a different ship. Tons of pictures of the Sensation! It also shows the Oak Room (the library) set up for a wedding. This room is SMALL, so it's only for like a max 15 people or so. It also has pics of the Plaza Lounge (the one with the curved booths), Fantasia Lounge (he's taking second floor shots), and Michaelangelo's Lounge (the one with all the naked statues). I belive those are the 4 options you have for the ceremony. I didn't see pictures of the disco, but there was a picture of the piano bar (the one with the HUGE hand at the door) if you opt for the pianist.

Thank you so much for this link. We are getting married on the Sensation in January 2015. Since we have chosen the let us serve you package and plan to have only our parents and my sons at the ceremony the Oak Room will likely be our location. It's good to have an idea beforehand and to be able to share it with my Fiance.
