rxs148 Posted January 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2013 I never used systems before I just played 6/8 place, PASS, Hard Ways etc (Chicken Feed I think some of you would call me) But I am cruising in April and will be trying one I read about, its a regression where I will take down as they hit. But as I practice online I see i could be sitting out many rolls, Then I started reading some Dark Side posts ....mmmuuhahahaaa :D I only played darkside once betting 40 to get 20 after point was established. I didn't like that. But I am understanding the darkside a little better now. Ok finally my question. So if my 44 inside no PASS hits a couple times and I take down ALL after a bunch of rolls. But the roller keeps rolling. Odds say a 7 is coming. So I wanna jump over to darkside. (cue evil laughter) :D Should I just place a DC?? Thanks

Thanks HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO rxs148: Just remember that if you think a seven is coming then why bet the Don't Come?If a seven is the next roll, you lose. If a Don't Come point is established then stay on it until a decision is reached.
Grandpaul Posted January 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2013 One thing I've learned over the years is the odds of rolling any number never change no matter how long a roll lasts. How can they?
rxs148 Posted January 28, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted January 28, 2013 Thanks Casino player but like many experienced players, like yourself, I have read that you turn off all bets after 3 to 6 rolls especially if they have HIT acouple of times. So thats why I would go over to the dark side. Another question, Can I turn on my bets on the come out ? Are there Specific bets that can never be on for the Come outroll? Especially other Cruise ships?

MrCo9 Posted February 1, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2013 You can call any bet on or off at anytime except for your pass line bet and come bets. Your odds on the pass line work as long as they are on the table. My favorite system is the Iron Cross, you bet the 5, 6, 8 and field. You get paid on any roll that is not a 7. For $40 you put $12 each on the 6 and 8, $10 on the 5 and $6 in the field. You'll collect $6, $8, $12 or $18 on each roll of the dice. Just remember to replace the field bet if you're paid on the 5, 6 or 8. I know they say the field is a bad bet, 20 ways to lose and only 16 ways to win. If the 2 pays double and the 12 pays triple that increases your payout to 19 ways. After you've collected enough times simply call off your place bets and stop betting the field. sailor_jimc Posted February 6, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2013 Assuming you are playing pass line bets along with the iron cross system MrC09 describes, if 5 is the point you have it covered with your pass bet. No need to cover the 9 as its a field number and you have it covered also. Same goes for 6 or 8. If you are not playing pass line along with the iron cross, then you can cover the 5/6/8 points by putting money on the pass line. It would pay better than leaving the place bets. I did not even think that I would be paying the pass line with odds. I will try this the next time I am at the casino. rxs148 Posted February 10, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted February 10, 2013 yes I like the iron cross I have been practicing on line with it. It will depend on the table . Choppy table I may play the regression and take down as they hit but if a few players roll ok Iron cross will be good. But I don't thnk 12 pays Triple on the Field bet, on the cruise ships??? Thanks for the input CC friends
rxs148 Posted February 11, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted February 11, 2013 MrCo9 Do you place your bets on the come out or after the point is made. Do you leave them working on the roll after the point is made?? Thanks
MrCo9 Posted February 11, 2013 #12 Share Posted February 11, 2013 MrCo9 Do you place your bets on the come out or after the point is made.Do you leave them working on the roll after the point is made?? Thanks The BEST part of this system (at least for me) is you can turn your bets or call them working at any time. You can place them on the Come Out Roll and have them working and hope that the 7 does not roll or you can have them off. Or you can wait until after the point is established, it's up to you. I will occasionally have them working, not always. I will call them off for a roll or two in the middle of a roll if I fell that dreaded 7 might be coming. I get this if the 4, 9, or 10 are the point. If the 5 is the point do you bet the 9? What if the 6 or 8 is?No, I do not bet the 9, it's covered by my field bet. I only bet the pass line if I'm shooting when using this system. In order to get paid on every roll that is not a 7 the only bets you need to make are the 5, 6, 8 and field. As the 4, 9 and 10 are rolled and you collect your field $$ you can bet those numbers and get paid twice the next time they roll, it's up to you, they're your chips. harcin Posted February 11, 2013 #13 Share Posted February 11, 2013 Please remember, no system can beat this game. The only way to consistently beat the this game is to physically influence the dice. Influencing the dice can only be done by cheating or by the art of controlled shooting (very difficult art to master).
Grandpaul Posted February 12, 2013 #14 Share Posted February 12, 2013 But it is still better to have a system than not.
kmc500 Posted February 12, 2013 #15 Share Posted February 12, 2013 Glad I didn't do that on the 90 minute roll I had at Harrahs in Vegas a couple years ago. LOL. I was thinking the exact same thing. I have had a few memorable rolls, and have ridden plenty of other shooters 30+ minute rolls. After winning 5 or 6k on a long shoot, who cares how much I left on the table? I know one thing, none of us know what the next roll of the dice will bring, so how can you time it? Kevin C
rxs148 Posted February 15, 2013 Author #16 Share Posted February 15, 2013 yeah basically everyone agrees in the long run you are gonna lose at gambling against the house. But what you wanna do is have fun dont bet the mortgage. Then you wanna play in such a way that you are going to still be at the table for those long runs and thats where I think certain systems can help you out and discipline to stick to it. Thats why I like the Iron cross and as you say maybe take down as they HIT. Or another way is after point is made place all numbers across lets say $160 across after 2nd Hit take down. But instead of watching in the case of a 30- 90 minute roller you could play COME and field at minimum bets so you are still in the game. 50 days and counting:D
Grandpaul Posted February 15, 2013 #17 Share Posted February 15, 2013 Half the times I gamble I win. If I get on a plane and go to Miami Beach, rent a car and a room and go to entertainment I lose a couple grand every time I do it. And I find gambling more fun.
