fishmom Posted April 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2004 We are flying out the day of the cruise. No choice, based upon number of vacation days, etc. We are flying out early am, with a stop in Cinci. Just found out that the airline has changed/cancelled the flight on to FLL, and booked us on one which gives us less than 25 minutes between flights. We have the option of a later flight, but it would get us to the pier much later (at least 2 p.m.) With a 4:30 scheduled sail, I am really perplexed. I have had short stops in Dallas and made my connections, but not sure what the track-record/maneuverability is like at the Cincinnati airport. pbarnhorn Posted April 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2004 The Delta terminal in Cincy is easy to get around in. Even if you have to change concourses (there's really only two if your flights are on Delta flights, A & B) it shouldn't be a problem, you might just have to walk fast. Most connecting flights are out of concourse B. I don't think the airline would have put you on a flight that they didn't think you could make. Here is a map of the Cincy airport. Hope this helps. billybob123 Posted April 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2004 As PEBBarney said, the airline has a minimum allowable connection time, and wouldn't have booked you on the connection if it was illegal. Don't worry about it - even if you miss the first connection, the airline will protect you on the later flight that you are considering anyway! Enjoy your cruise! -bb123
fishmom Posted April 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Interesting enough, the Airline called today and wanted to change our flight. They couldn't guarantee the connection! So now we are routed through Atlanta instead. We have an hour+ at ATL.
