Thank you for the comparison of the Reserve Mini and the Cabana Mini. We were originally booked in a deck 10 Cabana, but have been upgraded to Signature Mini. Of course the Signature amenities will be great, but have been wondering ever since what might have been. Now I totally have no regrets. Agree. This was the thread that all future cruisers of the SUN needed!

Just slightly above the 'from' price in the email. I pushed the slider all the way to the least price, and then just went slightly above it. It was a gamble to go that low. But with these early sailings on the Sun I think the odds were in my favor more.

I posted in the old Sun Princess thread about a bid to upgrade that I received. I am sailing April 27 and received the bid to upgrade at about the 60 day mark. Presumed the email was automatically generated and set my expectations low. Placed weak offer on Signature Suite. We were booked in category CB. Received notification today that offer was accepted! Love the location based upon deck plan but will confirm once on board. I lost the cabana but, in my opinion, gained a lot in its place. Possibly a lot of factors involved, given what has occurred with this inaugural season. I know some have reported free upgrades during the first few sails, but I'm ok. I still got a really good deal. Excited and want to cross post everywhere! LOL.

Flat 25. So 50 minimum for the week for the two of us.

I am hoping that we at least get the Reserve upgrade. I think that private area looks nice.

I am booked in a cabana mini (not reserve). The minimum bid for the next level up for reserve was only 25pp.

I received an email with a bid upgrade offer for our 4/27 sailing. I was surprised to see this since it is showing as sold out. I haven't cruised since the upgrade bidding was introduced, so I am not sure if that means there is some capacity or not. The upgrades were for reserve cabana suite and above, which would be the next level up from what we have booked. I realize there is a whole thread about the bid upgrade process, but thought in interesting in context of the new ship. The Reserve Collection benefits are so fuzzy when I look at their website, which is why we didn't book in the first place. But now I am curious! I went ahead and placed a bid on a couple of the categories, since we were already waiting for room assignment. (Sky Suite was still more than I was willing to pay, LOL) So wherever I land I will be OK with.

Same thing happened to me. I asked my personal planner a question about hotels pre and post cruise. He came back with the $7000 package offer. He was from Princess, or at least attached to them somehow, because he had all the details about my upcoming cruise. I ditched him quick!
