Crazy1here - We need some Falmouth help from a local

Hey Dave!! I still haven't seen any pictures or videos from last spring break on the Glory!

This year we are coming to visit Jamaica!!!! We were hoping to do an eastern carib itinerary this year but we are bringing along a bunch of newbie cruisers and we really wanted to go back to RCCL so we decided on the Freedom of the Seas western carib.

So, this time we have 5 adults, 6 boys ages 9-14, and two girls 11&12. We've got our other 3 days in port worked out. Unfortunately we can't figure out how all the adults can justify doing the Cozumel Bar Hop tour and leaving the kids behind :(

Anyway, really looking for some suggestions from my favorite local on what, if anything, we should do once we get to Falmouth. I've been reading all of the posts here and some of your comments but I'm still torn. There isn't much of a desire from the group to spend a lot of money on an expensive excursion. The adults are all getting the new premium drink package onboard so we are tempted to just stay on the boat and party :) The kids probably won't care either as there will actually be more room in the pools, etc. That said, I would still like to see something of your beautiful country. But, I also don't want to spend all day traveling like we did on the ruins tour in Belize. So, any suggestions?

:p

Heyy there stranger :). Sorry, I didnt see this thread till you told me to look for it in that post...whoopsies :$. Nice seeing you around, how's the fam?

Hmmm, first thing I can think of is dolphins cove, its fun for everyone! Its about ermm 1hr drive from falmouth so you'll get to see a bit of the coast as well....and if you doo make sure to stop at scotchies discovery bay for some jerked chicken/pork/drinks....its yummeh!

Besides that the next option I guess would be dunns river falls, thats pretty much right beside dolphins cove so driving distance is the same, climbing the falls is fun, just well, gotta be mindful about slipping while climbing, and there's a decent beach at the foot of the falls to hang out at afterwards.

Besides those two would be montego bay for doctors cave which is pretty much just beach...but additional places along the strip if you walk up from there..marguritaville for drinks/food/waterslide.... coral cliff a nice casino across from marguritaville. Mobay is about erm 50 mins away from falmouth.

As for costs, welll I wouldnt have a clue about the excursions costs sooo cant really help you much there :(. I think I'd go with dolphins cove more tho, I think the adults and kids would all have something to enjoy.

Feel free to ask anything else you want, always willing to help a fellow shipmate :)

Ah yes, just remembered one more thanks to my sis. You could also check out mystic mountain, same general area as dunns river and dolphins cove, they have waterslides, ziplines, rollercoaster, nice gardens, that'd be fun for all as well I'd imagine. Can check it out here.
