Just got back from Western Caribbean cruise and thought I would post my RC Lamanai excursion review. Hope it helps...

Belize - We took the RC Lamanai tour and although the ruins were interesting (not as impressive as Chichen Itza, Mexico), we would not recommend this tour. It is very rushed. The bus takes 1hr to Orange Walk, where you switch to a boat that speeds its way to Lamanai and takes another full hr. You don’t really see much wildlife since the boat noise/speed scares them all away. Lamanai is interesting but we were rushed thru the ruins and did not see all the buildings. Beware that if you have walking issues you should not go on this tour because the paths are all rocky and very uneven. Sturdy footwear a must. Also, take mosquito repellent. Our friends took RC tours to island beaches and had a better time.
