Savona to Rome-Motorcoach??

Anyone done the post-cruise hotel package to Rome? Per Costa's website, transportation can be via air or motorcoach... Are they kidding?? 340 miles via motorcoach?? You would lose 1 day going, and 1 day coming back - so for a 2 night stay, you'd end up with 1 full day in Rome. (And for $378.00pp-double occ - tell me it's not crazy!)

Anyone done this, please tell me it was by air!!

Thanks,

Tim

My wife and I did a cruise like this last year and to avoid the hassel we did everything with Costa. We got the air, cruise, and the hotel (in Rome). They provided the roundtrip AIR transportation from Savona(Genoa) to Rome only because we purchased the air. We checked for flights ourself and lets just say we stayed with Costa!!!:)

bob free,

Thanks for the reply... Now my faith on Costa is not entirely shaken - this will be our first cruise with them.

How was it overall? I know the cruise air can sometimes be a bit "haphazard." Did you do an air deviation to pick flights ahead of time, or did you just go with Costa's choice?

Thanks for the info,

Tim
