Rate exchange on Costa

Don't change your money on board - much better rates ashore - unless you are paying your ship account - then who knows what the exchange rate would be on the day.

dizzy is correct. an ATM will give you the best exchange rate. watch for bank fees, though. it is much better to make one large withdrawl than several smaller ones. sometimes i just order a quantity from my own bank before i leave home and take it with me.

the only time i've used a shipboard exchange on costa was to put various 'leftover' currencies INTO my onboard account. when you do that, costa doesn't charge a fee. still not a great rate, but it does get rid of the excess.
