ChiMimi69 Posted April 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2013 With as many times as I have cruised, I never bothered to learn about this. :p I've heard that connecting cabins connect via the balcony as the divider opens. As well, I've seen picts where there an interior door that connect both rooms. How does NCL connect cabins? I'll be sailing the Getaway next year on my first NCL cruise and was contemplaing switching our rooms getting a connecting cabin with my BFF so our kids can come back and forth without having to go through the hallway. Just wondering. Thanks!!!

seaport104 Posted April 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2013 I'm a soon to be first time cruiser but I figured I'd share what I learned since I just booked connecting rooms. NCL confirmed there are interior doors that connect the 2 rooms and they will only take off the partition in the balcony while in port. Super excited- I booked 2 bedrom suite connecting a mini suite for our party of 7 on the Gem.
Ilovesailing Posted April 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2013 You will also see on the deck plan for each ship a double headed arrow between to cabins. See the attached link and look at cabins 8534 8536; http://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/pearl/decks/2/8#tab_detail

Interesting. They've never removed the balcony partitions for us, claiming safety reasons. It may vary from ship to ship, or just whom you ask.
