what to do in Boston for a day

We'll be in boston mid Sept. Am looking for a comprehensive tour of the area.

While many Canadian cruises involve Boston, you'll probably get more replies by posting this on the East Coast Departures board...

 

And as a somewhat-frequent Boston visitor, in one day you cannot possibly see more than a small fraction of everything in the area - it's a big city, with tons of popular sites within it's boundaries and even more within day-trip distance. If you post some more info (size of group, kids or old folks, whether you can/want to walk far, stuff you like to see) you'll probably get much more useful replies...
