Opinions? RCCL Excursion ST01: 5 Star Island Tour

Hi everyone,

 

Asking a few excursion questions in the appropriate forums - My wife and I will be visiting St. Thomas for the first time on the Oasis next May, and would like to go on a good overview tour of the island.

 

We whittled down our choices and landed on RCCL Excursion # ST01 - 5 Star Island Tour. You drive to Mountain Top, then visit Megan's Bay for 2 hours, then 2 hours shopping in downtown Charlotte Amalie before returning to the ship.

 

Has anyone recently been on this tour and could offer some honest insights and opinions?

We have chosen this excursion for our cruise this September - I would be happy to let you know after we are back.

Any updates on this? I'm considering booking the same excursion. Surely someone out there has some input! :)

We did do this. On our tour we did the shopping first as is was on a Sunday and the stores close early on Sunday in the town. Megan's Bay was nice and Mountaintop was worth going to (for the view) - we didn't buy a thing at Mountaintop. In my opinion, if you haven't been to St. Thomas, it is a nice and reasonably priced way to see a bit of the island. Overall, probably our least favorite tour of our cruise - not that it was bad but just not our favorite.
