Galaxy-Galveston Question

We have a choice of a 1:00 or 6:30 flight home out of Houston. I am concerned that we may really have to make every connection with no problems to make the early flight. We will of course have to get to the limo pretty quickly, that's a given. But, I hear there can be lots of traffic and congestion getting to IAH. We would want to get to the airport by 11:00 the latest for the earlier flight.

 

Think we can make it?

 

Plan "B" is the later flight. If we booked that one, we would make sure to be the last ones off the ship. No rushing, less stress. But, we would be getting home around midnight.

 

Anyone have advice? I want to book my air this week.

1:00 was no problem for us in January. Celebrity asks passengers sailing from Galveston not to set flights before 1:00. You should be fine

The pier at Galveston can get congested when there are multiple ships in port. Check out the port schedule to find out how many ships are in port.

I don't think you will have a problem. Just see Guest Relations on Deck 5 asap and let them know your flight schedule. They will see that you disembark on time to get to Houston.

 

During your cruise you will also receive a form in your stateroom to let them know your flight schedule. Be sure to turn it in in a timely manner and you should have no problem.

 

Have a great cruise. We were on the Galaxy twice last year and loved every minute. She is a wonderful ship.

Should be minimal problems getting to the airport: UNLESS! You encounter an accident on I-45. But that is just one of the everyday life problems we face whether getting to work, or going to the store or cruisin!
