Rendezvous Cay?

I am contemplating taking a ship excursion that includes a non-snorkling, beach stop at Rendezvous Cay. There appear to be other excursions going to the Cay as well, and I am concerned that this tiny island may be overcrowded. Has anyone stopped there just for the beach, and what was your experience? Thanks..............
