gatorgram Posted November 12, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Anyone done Magic Ice in St. Thomas? Been to St. Thomas many times so thought we would try this, can we do it on our own?:)
RuthlessBoss Posted November 12, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Just did a little research on it. I don't see why you couldn't do it on your own due to the time it takes to go through it. I've been through one here in the Orlando area, and it's amazing what they can do with ice.
mom2mnem Posted November 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2013 It is an easy thing to do on your own. We did this over the summer when we cruised RCI Allure. For us, we had to take a bus downtown ( $4 pp). It was a very small exhibit, but we enjoyed it-just because it was different. Adults were given a free shot of Cruzan rum in a souvenir shot glass. I never do shots or drink much more than a fruity fun drink, but this rum was delicious. Afterwards my husband left us to go on a dive and I stayed with the kids and explored the nearby shops and had a nice meal. Lisa
franks1 Posted November 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2013 We did this 2 weeks ago.It was really good. You need to take a taxi downtown. It is on the main road about 3 blocks from the flea market where they drop you off.If you show the you sail and sign card, they will put it on your room acct and you save $3.00.We did this and had no problems. They give you a heavy coat with hood and if you have shorts on,leg warmers. You get a shot of rum and get to keep the glass. The coconut flavor was really good.We spent about 30 min. in there and it was real worth it.Take your camera to take pictures. Thank you for the info! We want to do this as well. How did you get the $3 discount, just show your cruise card? does the cruise line matter? and how much was the adult ticket? Do you just get a taxi at the cruise port? How much does it cost from port to Magic Ice?
