Help in choosing a cruiseline.

When my kids were younger we went on Carnival cruises and they loved camp carnival. Now they are grown and we want to take a cruise that will include several adults without children and one three year old. We are wondering what Disney cruises are like? Is there enough adult friendly entertainment and options for people without children? I know they don't have a casino, but how is their other entertainment? How is the food? Does it compare to other cruiselines, or is it mostly food kids prefer? I realize there will be a lot of kids on a Disney cruise. Are they mostly in organized activities or running wild?

The entertainment on Disney is kid-friendly and there a LOT of kids. Although they are mostly in activities, the pool deck is crowded and noisy. The MDR is also noisy as well. There is adult food, but there is more kid-friendly food than you will see on other cruise lines.

I would choose another cruise line that has a kids club, unless the adults are Disneyphiles. A three year old won't really care if it's Disney or not. Note that only potty-trained youngsters can use a kids club on most cruise lines. I think Carnival is the only exception. Disney and some RCCL ships have a nursery and babysitting which are options for the non-potty-trained.

DS8 has been on all the cruise lines in my signature. He loved them all.

Boulders, thank you for your reply. It is a group of 8 adults ranging in age from mid 20's to mid 50's, plus the 3 year old. None of the adults are disneyphiles, but I thought a disney cruise might be a good idea for the 3 year old. My kids did enjoy Camp Carnival, but they were a little older when I took them on their first cruise. So I guess we will stick with Carnival because they have much more to offer as far as ports of call are concerned.
