VIFP past guest offers

Past Guest Offer with 2-category Upgrade, what exactly does this mean for us if we are booked in a 4F cabin? I read this when I logged into my carnival account under VIFP offers. Im booked for March on the Sunshine.

google fareviewer on carnival put in the information requested it will tell you what upgrades you are eligible for, then call you PVP and get your upgrades..it is that easy!

They won't upgrade you from an inside to ocean view or balcony. The upgrade will be in the form of a higher deck or from aft to midship or something like that.

Please tell me I have not been doing this incorrectly. When we look for our cruises, we put in our code, and pick our cabin. I am under the understanding the room and price include the 2 level upgrade. Am I suppose to ask for the upgrade???
