Fort Lauderdale to Miami

We'll be in that area this month for our DS's 22nd birthday. This will be on a Fri., Sat., & Sun. I'm looking for things to do, especially in the evening. He doesn't want to go to any bars. Any evening entertainment that doesn't revolve around alcohol? Any other late afternoon activities he would enjoy are welcome also. (We're not morning people, so anything that requires we get out early is out. :o) We know how far apart the cities are & are willing to go anywhere in the area. Thanks in advance.
