Paid upgrade after final payment question

I am hoping to grab a cheap upgrade after final payment for my upcoming cruise. The one point I need clarification on is in regards to a C&A savings certificate. When I booked we had a savings certificate applied ($125). How does the savings certificate impact the "must owe them money" test for a late upgrade? If I paid $1000pp but had a $125 Savings certificate, does the price of the upgraded cabin need to be greater than $2000 (total) or $2000 - $125 or $1875 (or $938pp)?

 

Just trying to figure out what price point I am looking for. TIA for any info!!
