Pre and Post Hawaian Cruise on Pride

Planning on Pride of America next Feb. 2015 and would like to go to California for a couple of days prior and post. Any suggestions?:confused:

Pre and post Hawaian cruise. We are from RI and want to spend a few days pre and post in California

We did 2 days post Hawaii in San Diego, but it was because we went to see the NY Giants play the San Diego Chargers. I can say that coming from the east coast, that stop helped with jet lag.
