Snorkeling in French Polynesia

We will be on Marina January 14, 2015 and we have heard that it is very reasonable to book snorkeling tours privately and not with Oceana. We would like to go snorkeling on most of the islands on this cruise and we really don't feel like spending the rather large dollars that Oceana charges. Our relative found private tours that were a fraction of the costs.

We will also be on the same cruise. For past Oceania cruises, we have always gone with private tours for a fraction of the cost if Oceania shore excursions, Forums like this are so helpful as well as advice and reviews on Tripadvisor
