I have only been on Carnival and am new to RC. On Carnival if you find a cheaper price they will lower your rate and credit the difference with an on board credit. Does RC do anything like that?

Royal will honor a price drop (with some restrictions) up to final payment date. After final payment date, no credit or OBC.

 

The only exception I'm aware of is their 48 hour price guarantee which will give you OBC if you purchased after final payment date and the price goes down within 48 hours.

I don't know about any onboard credit, but in the past, if I have found that my cabin had a price reduction, Royal has honored the new price BEFORE final payment. If you are past final payment and your cabin drops in price, you will be able to upgrade to a new cabin category for what you paid originally.

Happened to me this morning! Final payment made, found lower price on higher grade/class room and called...upgraded, no problem. Went com a C-2 to a D-1.. Woo hoo!!!
